I think everybody sucks at opening parts boxes. It’s the inner 8 year old at Christmas coming out. I made a horrible mess with my last Summit haul, and that was mostly big parts.

This actually gets me wondering what’s with German parts suppliers and that freakin’ mixed-shade checkerboard pattern thing - I’ve seen it on so many Benz, VW, and other maker OEM and replacement parts.

When I order parts from Pelican Parts, it comes in a typical brown box. I wonder what my order from Paragon Products will arrive in. This was my first package from ECS Tuning and my god it got here fast. I ordered it on Friday!

Good to know. I’m thinking I may have to get a 924 some time in the next year and a half (hey, if my Benz cacks it and the Ranchero isn’t done...) and ECS seem like they have their shit together. I’ve done FCP Euro for Benz parts and they were reasonably fast, but they’re not into go-faster much.

It was my first time ordering from ECS and I was very pleased with the quick work. Lucky for you, if you get a 924, you can also use some VW parts and save $$$!!! :D

It’s like this, see: there’s no one thing totally dire wrong with my Benz, but it has a stuck turbo, vacuum leaks out the wazoo, either a slowly dying set of injectors or dying injector pump or both, poor power (probably not *only* due to the previous), dying motor mounts, a damaged place on the underside of the sill, a suspect and leaky transmission, a weak window motor, a broken sunroof, a damaged wiper motor, some electrical gremlins, oil leaks, and is badly in need of a rear suspension rebuild - creaks on the back left and wheel hop on the back right. It really needs to be offlined and gone through, basically, and since I’ve always liked the 924, I don’t think it’s too much to ask to try DDing something new. Yeah, I know that would be car #5, but if it’s one of two running, is that so wrong?

You open boxes exactly like me Karl I start out cutting things open like a gentleman and then get too excited and go caveman pulling crap apart.
